Portable Sawmill Services
The heart of Fireside Lumber & Sawmill is its sawmill operation. It’s how we stared in 2011 and it’s the reason we’re now one of the U.S.’s largest mobile sawmill businesses. With three portable mills running daily, our sawyers average around 3700 board feet per day. In 2022, we milled over 400,000 board feet— enough to build thirty homes. Large Lot Clearings
Our specialty is large lot clearings. Landowners often seek our services when they learn the cost to mill is less than the cost of hauling logs to the dump.
Single Log/Trees
Our rates for portable milling are fixed and transparent so folks can choose to do as little or as much milling as they like. We will even mill one log.
Oversized Logs
We’re the only portable mill operation in N.C. that offers portable oversize mill services. Our extra wide Lucas slab mill, which is portable, cuts up to 72” wide.
